Match compute and memory to the workload
The listed processor platform is Intel Alder Lake-N N97 (4 cores, 12 W TDP; E727-01) or Core i3-N305 (8 cores/8 threads, 15 W TDP; E727-02). Memory is single-channel DDR4 or DDR5 SO-DIMM, up to 16 GB; the memory technology is selected by the motherboard build code and is not interchangeable within one unit. Select the CPU and memory from the software workload: HMI visualization, protocol conversion and lightweight control usually require less headroom than machine vision, multi-camera processing or local analytics.
Storage and wireless expansion depend on the selected board configuration. Before ordering, specify the OS image, application footprint, write endurance, boot-device preference, Wi-Fi or cellular requirement and long-term availability target. Plan the network and peripheral map
The standard external network layout is 3 x GbE (2 x Intel i210, 1 x Realtek RTL8111H). USB connectivity is 7 x USB 3.0 and 1 x USB 2.0, confirmed by the supplier datasheet and its E727-01/E727-02 ordering table. Serial connectivity is 1 x RS-232/422/485 and 1 x RS-232. The standard display output is dual independent display through DP and HDMI. No dedicated DIO is listed in the standard configuration.
